First Time Setup

1. Register as an admin using Gmail or email
2. Register your school with name and optional logo
3. Wait for school activation (status changes from 'pending' to 'active')
4. Install FierScore as a PWA (see Offline Mode section below) for offline access
5. Follow the workflow guide above to set up your sports program

Understanding Your Role

• Admin: Full access to all features for your school
• Coach: Access to features for teams you're assigned to

Adding Players

You can add players in two ways:

• Individual: Click "Add Player" and fill in the form (name is required, date of birth is optional)
• Bulk Upload: Use the CSV template to upload multiple players at once

Players can be assigned to multiple teams. The system detects duplicates by name + date of birth.

Managing Teams

• Enable sports first, then create teams for those sports
• Assign coaches to teams for better organization
• Manage team squads by adding/removing players
• Teams can have free-form names (e.g., "1st Team", "U14", "Varsity")

Creating Fixtures

1. Create a term calendar first (if you haven't already)
2. Go to Fixtures → Add Fixture
3. Select the term calendar, your team, and opponent details
4. Set date, time, venue, and home/away status
5. Optionally set up squad and line-up in the Squad & Line-up tab

You can edit fixtures later to update details or enter scores.

Entering Scores

• Edit the fixture after the match is completed
• Enter the final score (format depends on sport)
• For Premium users: Use "Go Live" for real-time score updates during matches
• Scores are automatically saved and visible on public pages

Match Day Squads

Select your match day squad and starting line-up before or on match day. Add jersey numbers and positions. You can access this from the Match Day Squads section or when editing a fixture.

PremiumShare & Download

Premium schools can use Share & Download (Dashboard → Share & Download) to select fixtures, results, or tournaments and export them as an image (optimized for social media and WhatsApp status) or as a PDF (for assembly announcements, printing, or formal emails to parents).

Player Statistics

• Regular Subscription: Simple player stats for completed fixtures
• Premium Subscription: Comprehensive sport-specific statistics

Filter by sport, team, and term to view individual player performance. Click on a player's name to see detailed stats.

Team Statistics

Select a team and term to view aggregated team statistics. Premium users get detailed analytics with totals, averages, min, and max values grouped by category.

Entering Statistics

After entering a final score for a fixture, Premium users can enter detailed statistics for each player. Statistics are sport-specific and dynamically defined.

Training Schedules

Create recurring training schedules by day of week for a term:

1. Select the term calendar
2. Choose the team, day of week, and time
3. Set venue and optional notes

The system automatically generates training sessions for that day throughout the term.

Training Sessions

• Create one-time training sessions for specific dates
• Mark attendance (present, absent, late, excused) with notes
• Filter sessions by team and date range

How Offline Mode Works

• FierScore works completely offline—no internet required
• All actions (adding players, creating fixtures, entering scores) are queued when offline
• When you're back online, everything syncs automatically
• No data is ever lost, even if you close the browser

This is perfect for remote fields, stadiums, or areas with poor connectivity.

Installing as PWA (Progressive Web App)

Installing FierScore as a PWA allows you to use it offline, access it like a native app, and get better performance. Here's how to install it on different devices:

Mobile Devices (iPhone/iPad - Safari)

1. Open FierScore in Safari (not Chrome or other browsers)
2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen
3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Edit the name if desired, then tap "Add" in the top right
5. FierScore will now appear on your home screen like a regular app

Mobile Devices (Android - Chrome)

1. Open FierScore in Chrome browser
2. You may see an automatic "Install App" banner at the bottom—tap "Install" if it appears
3. If no banner appears, tap the Menu button (three dots) in the top right
4. Select "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
5. Tap "Install" or "Add" in the popup
6. FierScore will be installed and appear in your app drawer

Desktop (Chrome/Edge/Brave)

1. Open FierScore in Chrome, Edge, or Brave browser
2. Look for an install icon (usually a plus or download symbol) in the address bar on the right
3. Click the install icon, then click "Install" in the popup
4. Alternatively, click the Menu (three dots) → "Install FierScore"
5. FierScore will open in its own window, like a desktop application

Desktop (Firefox)

1. Open FierScore in Firefox
2. Click the Menu button (three lines) in the top right
3. Select "More Tools" → "Install Site as App"
4. Click "Allow" in the confirmation dialog
5. FierScore will be installed and accessible from your applications menu

Desktop (Safari - Mac)

1. Open FierScore in Safari
2. Click "File" in the menu bar
3. Select "Add to Dock"
4. FierScore will appear in your Dock and can be launched like a regular app

Why is my school showing as "pending"?

Schools start with 'pending' status after registration. An administrator needs to activate your school to 'active' status before you can access all features.

Can I use FierScore on my phone?

Yes! FierScore is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works on any device—phone, tablet, or computer. Install it on your device for the best experience.

What's the difference between Regular and Premium?

Regular ($300/year) includes all core features with simple stats. Premium ($700/year) adds comprehensive statistics, live score coverage for fixtures, and Share & Download: export fixtures and results as an image (for social media and WhatsApp status) or as a PDF (for assembly announcements and formal communication).

How do I share fixtures with parents?

Each fixture has a unique public link you can share. You can also share your school's public fixtures page. Parents don't need to log in to view fixtures and scores.

Can I edit a fixture after creating it?

Yes! Click "Edit Fixture" to update any details, enter scores, manage squads, or cancel/reactivate fixtures.

What if I make a mistake entering data?

Most data can be edited. Fixtures, players, teams, and scores can all be updated. If you need to delete something, use the delete buttons (be careful—some deletions are permanent).

How do I bulk upload players?

Go to Players → Bulk Upload. Download the CSV template, fill it in with your player data, then upload it. The system will validate and import your players.
